So Yeon Ryu’s love of the game

In order to participate in events at the Tour, golfers need a motivation. In order to have it, they must love golf. That love is responsible for their hope, and in many cases for success. But golf is more than that. It is a very responsible ‘’job’’, with a lot of distractions and commitments. These things can cause that eventually a golfer forget her love for this sport. One of those golfers who rediscovered her love about the game is So Yeon Ryu.

That rediscovered love is responsible for the top of the Leaderboard score on the Kingsmill Championship Presented by JTBC. She needed help with her putting and she got it from Ian Baker Finch, fellow Aussie and a major champion. They met last week in West Palm Beach and together they were working on how to improve her game and what is really happening in her head. After her round Friday, Ryu said that she really enjoyed their conversation and he told her that her stroke and technique are great. Now, she should enjoy in life and of course in golf.

Since 2011 when Ryu won the U.S. Women’s Open, she focused on her results, but she started forgetting why she plays golf. She earned 2 top 10 finishes and 47th place in Texas. This is 4th year on the LPGA for Ryu. Last three years she played wonderfully. Now she wants to finish top 10 every week. This also makes her enjoy in golf.  In addition, Ryu said that Finch help her understand positive attitude and how to maintain it.
